Blood on Mattress
Strip bedding and blot up as much blood as possible with a clean towel.
Pour cold water sparingly on the stain and blot.
Apply hydrogen peroxide to the stain — let it fizz for 1 minute, then blot.
Repeat the peroxide step once more if blood remains.
Rinse by blotting with cold water. Sprinkle baking soda, leave 1 hour, vacuum.
Dry completely with a fan — at least 4–6 hours.

Pro tip
For menstrual blood on a mattress: the hydrogen peroxide + enzyme cleaner combination is the most effective. Act within 30 minutes for best results.
⚠ Warning
Hydrogen peroxide can lighten mattress fabric. Test on a corner first.
